On the Phone While Driving

At Florida Eye we are all about eye health, but once in awhile we like to share news you can use. In case you missed it, April is distracted driving month, and it’s not just about being distracted driving – it’s about being distracted throughout your day by your phone. New technology allows us to make phone calls, dictate texts or emails and update social media while driving – all actions that are proven to increase crash risk.

The National Safety Council observes April as Distracted Driving Awareness Month to draw attention to this epidemic. NSC wants empower you to put safety first and Take Back Your Drive.

The National Safety Council has tips to share.

Drive safely and use your phone responsibly. Don’t become a statistic.
