Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute (FEMI) is proud to welcome Dr. Dena Naaman to our growing team of specialists!

Dr. Naaman is an optometrist providing comprehensive eye care with a focus on ocular disease management, surgical co-management, specialty contact lenses and family eye care services. She emphasizes patient education and personalized treatment plans, ensuring that each patient feels supported in their vision health. She will see patients at FEMI’s Boynton Beach and Wellington locations.

“Dr. Naaman’s advanced training and compassionate, patient-centered approach make her a strong addition to our team,” said Dr. Barry Schechter at Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute, Inc. “Her experience in ocular disease management and surgical co-management will help us continue delivering the highest quality care to our patients and our community.”

Dr. Naaman earned her Doctor of Optometry and Bachelor of Science in vision science degrees from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in biology from The University of Tulsa. Her clinical training included externships at Eye Associates of Pinellas and the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, where she gained experience in ocular disease management and primary eye care. Following graduation, she completed an optometric residency at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, receiving advanced training in surgical co-management and the treatment of complex eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and corneal disease.

Outside of work, Dr. Naaman enjoys traveling, long walks outdoors and spending time at the beach.
