Dr. Dena Naaman is an optometrist at Florida Eye Microsurgical Institute focused on providing compassionate, patient-focused care while advancing the highest standards of optometric practice. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to achieve their best vision through attentive listening, evidence-based treatments, and personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Naaman began her academic journey at The University of Tulsa, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in biology as a pre-optometry student. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, along with a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science. During her fourth-year clinical rotations, she served as an extern at Eye Associates of Pinellas and at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, gaining valuable experience in ocular disease management, surgical co-management, and primary eye care.

Following graduation, Dr. Naaman completed an optometric residency at Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, where she received advanced training in ocular disease, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lenses. Her residency experience allowed her to collaborate closely with ophthalmologists across subspecialties, further strengthening her expertise in complex eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and corneal disease.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, long walks outdoors and spending time at the beach.
